StreamWeave is designed as a censorship-resistant alternative to traditional video-sharing platforms by leveraging decentralized storage and blockchain-based metadata management. Video files are permanently uploaded to Arweave, guaranteeing immutable, fault-tolerant, and decentralized storage that stays available forever. Corresponding metadata—such as titles, descriptions, tags, creators, and content hashes—is stored on the Ethereum blockchain, ensuring authenticity, traceability, and tamper-proof indexing. The frontend, implemented with Next.js and styled using Tailwind CSS, provides a fast, responsive, and user-friendly experience for browsing, uploading, and watching videos. StreamWeave eliminates reliance on centralized servers, login systems, or moderation layers, instead allowing creators unrestricted freedom to publish content while users retain full control over access and playback.
